FORESTRY COMMISSION WELCOMES NEW MINISTER FOR LANDS AND NATURAL RESOURCES.

The newly instated Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh paid a visit to the Forestry Commission Headquarters, to formally introduce himself to the Commission’s management and staff.

Mr. Asomah-Cheremeh received a warm welcome from the Chief Executive of Forestry Commission, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie; Deputy Chief Executive, Mr. John M. Allotey, Heads of departments and all staff of the Forestry Commission.

The Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, briefed him on activities the Commission is currently undertaking, and some challenges the Commission is facing. Mr. Asomah-Cheremeh expressed his delight to work with all agencies under his ministry and assured the Chief Executive that he will do his best to help minimise all challenges the Commission is facing to ensure effective work is carried out in the protection of the nation’s forests.
