The project – Strengthening African Forest Governance – through high level national Forest Governance Forum meetings and mid level awareness raising and training in Ghana, Cameroon, DRC, and Liberia is a 4 year project funded by the European Union. The aim of this project is to build awareness and capacity at both policy and practice level. In Ghana, this work will be supported by Forest Watch Ghana. Through the convening of the national Forest Governance Forum events, the project also seek to engage the interest of stakeholders from government, civil society, private sector and academia in dialogue around strengthening forest and natural resource governance. These forums will be modeled along the Chatham House stakeholder update meetings held in London twice a year on the same issues.
